General FAQs

SOCASH is the easier way to withdraw cash from shops and earn Rewards. It’s simple, smart, and secure.

  1. Choose cash amount and confirm shop location
  2. Confirm payment* and scan QR code at cashier
  3. Collect cash and earn Rewards

*Please check the Payment Page (Menu > Payment ) to learn about the available options. You need to authorise the debit for each transaction. You will be asked to confirm debit either before or after scanning the QR code, depending on the selected shop.

For example, all cash withdrawals at 7-Eleven outlets will require you to confirm debit before arriving at the cashier.


Payment Methods

  1. Install & register with ICBC Mobile Banking app
  2. Create cash withdrawal request in SOCASH app, check out to ICBC Mobile Banking app
  3. Complete the OTP step and verify your transaction details to confirm debit


Withdrawal Matters

Check the Confirmation Page to see whether the shop you selected requires you to confirm debit before or after you arrive. This is based on the shops’ preference and our integration with their POS machine.

  1. Pay now
    Debit your bank account before scanning the QR code at the shop’s cashier
  2. Pay at the cashier
    Debit your bank account after scanning the QR code at the shop’s cashier

When a cashpoint indicates Purchase Required, you’ll need to buy an item from the shop before you can withdraw cash. There is no minimum purchase amount and currently, 7-Eleven is the only cashpoint which requires a purchase. If you purchase an item at the store, the cash you receive will be less than the withdrawal amount.

There are 3 ways to request a refund:

  1. Submit a refund request from the app, when you cancel a transaction
  2. If you're unable to submit the refund request form, go to History  > Transaction Details Page and submit a request by clicking Request a Refund button
  3. Alternatively, go to History  > Transaction Details Page and submit a refund request by clicking on email icon 
If your account was debited but you did not get cash, you will receive a refund within 24 hours. If not, contact help[at]


Account Matters

Verify your account to receive Rewards. There are 2 ways to do this:

Verifying account during sign up
  1. Sign up with SOCASH
  2. Enter name, email, and phone number
  3. Complete the OTP verification
Verifying account after sign up
  1. On the Home Page, click the badge at the top right corner
  2. Go to Rewards Page 
  3. Click your Rewards to verify account

If you’re unable to login to your account, click Reset Password on the Login Page. Enter the email address linked to your SOCASH account to receive a Reset Password Link. Please check your spam folder if this doesn’t appear in your inbox.


eKYC - Profile Verification

SOCASH is regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and under the Payment Services Act 2019, we have to comply with the user identification process according to regulations.

This process is also known as eKYC (Electronic Know Your Customer) and is performed via Myinfo portal. By knowing the identity of an App user, we can create a more secure ecosystem for everyone by mitigating the risks of fraud, identity theft, money laundering, and other illicit activities.

Myinfo (authenticated by Singpass) has been integrated within the SOCASH App to help pre-fill your relevant personal information for eKYC.

This simple 3 steps process usually takes no more than 3 minutes.

  1. Login via Singpass to authenticate,
  2. Verify  your personal data and give consent for the retrieval of information
  3. Submit!

Myinfo is a trusted government digital solution launched by the Government Technology Agency (GovTech) and the Ministry of Finance. It offers greater online security, privacy and improved user experience by allowing consent-based identity profile and data to be pre-filled and authenticated through Singpass. Myinfo users will enjoy less form-filling and a reduced need for providing verifying documentation during online transactions.

SOCASH uses Myinfo to simplify the eKYC process of verifying your profile. Sharing personal data with Myinfo is facilitated through your Singpass account.

When you use Myinfo to verify your profile with SOCASH, we will retrieve the following information: 

  • Name
  • Nationality
  • Date of Birth
  • Registered Address

We assure you we do not receive or store your Singpass credentials. Your information will NOT be shared with any third parties for marketing, advertising or any commercial activities. You can learn more about it in our Privacy Policy.

We will notify you of your successful profile verification on the SOCASH App with the following message on the app:

Congrats! You're a verified SOCASH user.

Please try again.

Common issue:
Unsuccessful profile verification could be due to another profile being linked to the ID. If you have another SOCASH profile registered under a different phone number but was verified using the same Singpass account, it will be rejected.

You are allowed to have only one SOCASH profile, please contact our SOCASH Customer Support team to confirm which duplicated profile that you would like to close.

Users receive incentives for withdrawing cash with SOCASH. A Reward could be in the form of cash savings or Deals from brands like Grab, Zilingo, or Sephora.

Earn Rewards every time you withdraw cash with SOCASH. You will receive a notification once you’ve unlocked a Reward. Access your Rewards anytime by clicking on the Rewards Page at the top right corner on the Home Page.

Yes, Rewards expire. The expiry date for each Reward is stated in the Notifications Center  and the Rewards Page .

Yes, unredeemed Rewards will reappear on the Rewards Page  after you cancel a transaction. In the event that your Reward does not appear after cancellation, please contact help[at]


Frozen Accounts

If you’re unable to redeem your Reward, it may be frozen. Please check T&C Page to learn more.


Promo Code

A promo code is our way of giving you Deals & Rewards. Find out more here.

  1. Go to Menu > Promo Code 
  2. Insert the promo code and click Add Code
  3. Redeem Rewards with your next successful transaction
Please check the Rewards Page  to make sure your Rewards are credited.

There are 2 types of promo codes: signup promo codes and promotional promo codes.
  1. Signup promo codes are for first time users only. These codes are on our website, social media ads, and partner shops. They are valid for 7 days from the date that you register with SOCASH.
  2. Promotional promo codes are shared via push notifications to selected users and only these users may redeem the Rewards.
These codes have limited validity, which is stated within the push message. You can also check the expiry date of push messages on the Notifications Center  and the Rewards Page .


Refer a Friend

You will receive $3 after your friend completes their first successful transaction. T&C's apply.

  1. Click on Menu> Invite Friends
  2. Click Share or copy your unique referral code
  3. Share your referral code with friends

  2. Click on link Have a referral code?  on Signup Page and key in your friend’s referral code
  3. Complete signup
*Referral is recognised by the system only when referee keys in his referrer's code at the time of signup. Signing up via referral link does not guarantee a Reward.
